Music Of Our Time, For Our Time

A big, bold, dynamic season reflects Music Director and Conductor Cristian Măcelaru’s conviction that music should engage us in community, ignite our social consciousness, and spark our imaginations. Three world premiere commissions, two U.S. premieres, and eight West Coast premieres bring a variety of sound worlds from voices both familiar and new. Twelve of our 14 composers will be in residence, and a super-star lineup of soloists will join the incredible Festival Orchestra under Maestro Măcelaru to bring the music of our time to spectacular realization. The “special sauce” at the Cabrillo Festival is always our audience!
